How to choose a Poria cocos planting base

Choose a site with convenient transportation, good drainage, away from pollution sources, sunny and sheltered from wind, free of termites, and not used for Poria cocos cultivation in the past three years. Ideal locations include flat land or slopes with an incline of <30° at altitudes of 100–1200 meters, or abandoned log trails. In winter, clear dead branches, leaves, and weeds, plow the soil to a depth of 35–50 cm, break up large clumps, and disinfect with slaked lime. Ten days before inoculation, clear the site again, removing stones, grass roots, and wood roots, dig drainage ditches, and eliminate termite nests and rotten tree roots. Ensure the area is free of stones, grass roots, and wood roots to prevent hindrances to sclerotia formation or "runaway" growth.
