The cultivation process of shiitake mushroom substrate bags is divided into the cultivation phase and the color change phase.
The optimal temperature for shiitake mushroom mycelium growth is between 24-26°C. Within 1 day after inoculation, the mycelium recovery is clearly visible. After the inoculated block is planted, the mycelium starts spreading through the substrate.
During the first 10 days post-inoculation, there is no need to supplement fresh air. After that, fresh air should be gradually increased, and the carbon dioxide concentration inside the room should be maintained below 0.3%.
Around day 25 post-inoculation, 70-80 small holes per stick are made (with a depth of 3-5 cm and diameter of 4-6 mm) to increase oxygen and promote aeration. This results in the temperature inside the substrate stick rising again, generally maintained for 7 days.
