The management process and key points of morels fruiting after watering
1. Needle tip differentiation period
When the morels are fully physiologically mature, after watering them, build a small arch shed, maintain a suitable surface temperature of 6~16℃, and keep high humidity (you don’t need to pay attention to the humidity deliberately, just keep the small arch shed airtight, make a small number of holes, and have fine water droplets on the inner wall of the membrane). At this time, the outside temperature fluctuates greatly, and the temperature at night is low. The key is to let in as much light as possible during the day, increase the temperature in the shed, increase the ground temperature by increasing the air temperature, and keep the night temperature not too low. The temperature of 1~2 meters in the shed can be raised to 20~28℃, which varies due to different shed types. As long as the ground temperature is not as high as 16℃, you don’t need to pay too much attention to the temperature.
The relatively high temperature after watering is conducive to the rapid differentiation of primordium. At a ground temperature of 10~14℃, the mature primordium can begin to differentiate into needle tips in as fast as 48 hours, and it will be slower at low temperatures. If the primordium has not differentiated into a needle tip within 10 days, it may be due to premature bud induction and immature mycelium.
