Light control
The growth and development of fruiting bodies require a certain amount of scattered light. Light stimulation is one of the necessary conditions for the differentiation of the primordium of Hericium erinaceus fruiting bodies. Generally, the light intensity is required to be 200~400 lux, and the light should be uniform, especially during the formation period of the primordium of the fruiting body, the light should be strong, and it can be slightly weaker during the growth period. If the light is insufficient (below 50 lux), it will affect the formation and growth of the fruiting body. If the light is too weak, the fruiting body will turn slowly. If the light is too strong (over 1000 lux), the fruiting body will often turn red, grow slowly, form thorns quickly, the fruiting body will be small, and the quality of the mushroom body will deteriorate. In actual production, the outdoor shade shed can meet the light needs of the fruiting body growth and development as long as it is "three parts sun and seven parts shade, and the flowers can get sunlight". If the roof of the mushroom shed is completely shaded due to high temperature and other reasons, the light transmittance around the mushroom shed should be increased to allow light to enter the mushroom shed from all sides. If the light is still insufficient, electric lights should be installed to increase the light intensity. If direct sunlight is allowed into the mushroom shed in order to increase the temperature, the bed should be covered with black plastic film to avoid direct sunlight.
