What are the three key points to focus on during the morel cultivation period?
(1) Ensuring that the nutrient bag is not contaminated is the top priority. The nutrient bag is the most important source of nutrition for morel cultivation. Once the nutrient bag is contaminated, the yield cannot be guaranteed. The most effective way is to keep the cultivation temperature below 16°C, especially within 1 week after the nutrient bag is planted and fully grown (when the small molecular sugars in the nutrient bag are absorbed and utilized by the mycelium, the risk of contamination of the nutrient bag will be reduced).
(2) Improve the absorption efficiency of the nutrient bag. Under the premise of ensuring that the temperature of the nutrient bag is not too high and does not cause pollution, by increasing the light, raising the ground temperature or the temperature of the nutrient bag, the nutrient decomposition, absorption and utilization efficiency of the nutrient bag can be significantly accelerated.
The more fully the nutrient decomposition and absorption, the more nutrients the mycelium stores and accumulates, which can lay a good foundation for high yields in the later stage.
(3) Adjust the maturity time of the mycelium. Morchella cultivation cannot rely on the weather. The natural climate environment in different regions, different facilities, and different years varies greatly. If you want to manage the budding at the most suitable time, you need to manually adjust the maturity time of the morels to prevent them from maturing too early or too late.
When the morels are sown too early and the temperature during the cultivation period is too high, it is necessary to artificially lower the cultivation temperature and reduce the light during the cultivation period to delay maturity. On the contrary, it is necessary to do a good job of heat preservation and increase light to promote maturity.
