Air StorageTank
Its function is to store compressed gas and dampen pressure pulsations; it also facilitates the further separation of moisture and oil from the compressed air through adiabatic expansion and natural cooling. Storing a certain volume of compressed air helps mitigate situations where short-term air demand exceeds the compressor's output capacity; additionally, it ensures a brief continued air supply during compressor malfunctions or power outages, thereby safeguarding pneumatic equipment.

Refrigerated dryer

The most common equipment for removing moisture from compressed air and are typically used in applications with standard air quality requirements.
Refrigerated dryers operate on the principle that the partial pressure of water vapor in compressed air is determined by the air temperature; by cooling the air, they remove moisture and achieve dryness.

Adsorption dryers

remove moisture by using a desiccant to adsorb water vapor from the compressed air flowing through the unit. Regenerative adsorption dryers are the type most commonly used in daily operations.

Compressed Air Purification
The purpose of compressed gas purification is to remove contaminants such as oil, dust, liquid water, bacteria, and odors, thereby producing clean compressed air.
Types of filters include main-line filters, air-water separators, and activated carbon filters.

The Compressed Air Purification process is as follows:
Intake air undergoes pre-filtration before entering the air compressor.
The compressed air output (pressure >0.3 MPa; temperature 80–120°C) is first cooled to 20–25°C to remove oil and water, and finally passes through a sterilization filter to yield sterile air meeting process specifications. Throughout this process, the equipment aims to improve air quality and eliminate oil and moisture.

Air-handling equipment:
Part 1: Screw compressor and auxiliary equipment. Their function is to improve air quality, remove impurities and microorganisms, and reduce equipment wear and operational load.
Screw compressors come in two types: oil-lubricated and oil-free, differing primarily in their lubrication methods. Oil-lubricated compressors use oil for lubrication; they have lower initial costs but place higher demands on downstream filter elements. Oil-free compressors use water for lubrication; they have higher initial costs but deliver oil-free air, placing less strain on sterilization filters and ensuring greater stability for the fermentation tank.

Part 2: Equipment ranging from storage tanks to adsorption dryers. This stage removes oil and moisture from the compressed air, ensuring humidity levels remain at or below 60% to meet the intake requirements of the sterilization filters.
