After sterilization, the culture bags should be promptly moved into the cooling room, stacked in a crisscross pattern of four bags, with 8-10 layers per pile, allowing the bags to cool and dissipate heat. Inoculation can begin once the internal temperature of the bags drops below 28℃. For areas with a large cooling area and good ventilation, it is best to cover the loggings with a thin film to prevent dust from falling onto them and affecting the inoculation yield. The quality standards for sterilization of the loggings should be: thorough sterilization, brownish-red color, increased gloss, shiny appearance, and after cooling, the logging should be bonded together without shrinking, maintaining a structural framework.
The sterilization process should be recorded, including the steamer number, steam supply time, time for the film to expand, steam release and its duration, time the required logging temperature is reached and its duration, time steam supply to stop, time of steaming and its duration, and time of removal from the steamer. This will allow for timely identification of the cause in case of any problems.
