Requirements for Shiitake Mushroom Bag Cultivation and High-Quality Bag Development

The goal of the mycelial growth stage is to promote robust mycelial growth. The bags must reach physiological maturity of the mycelium and possess the internal conditions for fruiting to occur normally. Otherwise, even with all external conditions (such as temperature difference, low temperature, light, and agitation), fruiting will not occur. This highlights the importance of mycelial cultivation. Different shiitake mushroom varieties require different maturation times, generally 60-80 days.

General Requirements for Cultivating High-Quality Shiitake Mushroom Bags

During bag cultivation, carefully observe changes in air and mycelial temperature according to different growth stages and adjust them artificially to prevent high-temperature damage.

① The cultivation room must be clean and disinfected.

② Mycelial growth can occur at temperatures ranging from 5-30℃, but is generally controlled between 10-25℃, ideally between 24-26℃.

③ Maintain a relative humidity of 40%-50%.

④ Ensure proper ventilation to maintain fresh air.

⑤ Initially, use shade during cultivation to promote mycelial growth and prevent premature appearance of shiitake mushroom primordia. Increasing diffused light in the later stages is beneficial for mycelial color change and physiological maturation.

⑥ After colonization, check for contamination by turning the pile, and simultaneously perform aeration by puncturing holes.
