Formula for growing straw mushrooms and fermentation of culture medium
1. Commonly used formulas for straw mushroom cultivation
Formula 1: 88% waste cotton, 10% straw, 2% lime.
Formula 2: 83% straw, 15% dry cow dung, 2% lime.
Formula 3: 78% enoki mushroom residue, 20% straw, 2% lime.
2. Pre-fermentation of culture medium
Taking the commonly used formula 1 as an example, pre-wet the waste cotton, cut the rice straw into 5~10 cm pieces and pre-wet them, add 0.5% lime water and mix them, and turn the pile to make the water content reach 70% and the pH value 9; shovel out the pre-wetted waste cotton and drain the water, then mix the waste cotton with the pre-wetted rice straw and 1.5% lime evenly. Pile the culture medium into a pile with a height of 0.7~1 meter, a width of 1.2~1.5 meters, and a length arranged according to the actual production volume; turn the above culture medium pile every other day, and it can be put into the mushroom house on the third day.
3. Post-fermentation of culture medium
In principle, the culture medium that has undergone pre-fermentation can be directly inoculated, but if conditions permit, it is best to undergo post-fermentation. The role of post-fermentation: First, it kills harmful microorganisms and pests in the culture medium more thoroughly; second, through the action of thermophilic microorganisms, the culture medium becomes selective, which is conducive to the growth of mycelium of straw mushrooms, but not conducive to the growth of mycelium of other fungi.
