How to make branch spawn
1. Preparation of branches and containers
According to the number of cultivation bags produced every day, calculate the number of branches to be purchased. According to the different diameters of the containers for preparing branch fungus, use long fungus bottles or fungus bags.
2. Soaking branches
Soak the purchased whole bag of branches in a lime water pool for no less than 24 hours to allow them to absorb enough water and ensure that there is no "white heart" inside to ensure that they can be penetrated by moist hot steam during sterilization to achieve complete sterilization.
3. Boil corn paste
95% water, 4.7% cornmeal (or wheat flour), 0.3% agar powder, calculate and weigh according to this ratio. First, use most of the water to cook the cornmeal and put it in a pot for later use. Then pour the remaining water into the pot, add the soaked agar powder, wait for it to melt, then pour in the prepared corn paste, stir it with a spoon, cook until bubbling, and pour it into the pot. After soaking, put the branches into corn paste and stir. After being evenly covered with corn paste, take them out and pour them on the table. Then pour bran (99.5%) and lime (0.5%) into the mixture and set them aside. The branches are covered with bran. The branches are the carriers of mycelium. Dipping them in corn paste can provide nutrition for mycelium and facilitate mycelium to wrap around the surface.
4. Filler
Make the bottom of the plastic bag square and fill it with an appropriate amount of cultivation material sawdust. The cultivation material should cover the bottom of the bag to prevent the branch fungus from piercing the bottom of the plastic bag during the production process. Then take the straightened branches and put them neatly vertically into the plastic bag. Because there are gaps between the branches, wood culture medium must be filled to reduce the amount of cold air in the fungus bag. When bagging, some manufacturers will add wood culture medium to the bottom and around the branches and vibrate them fully, so that the sawdust of the cultivation material can fill the gaps between the branches as much as possible, and then cover the surface with a layer of cultivation material. The surface is covered with branches, which is also called "bridge". Then tighten the plastic ring cover.
5.sterilization
In factory cultivation, the branch bag and the cultivation bag are placed in a pressure cooker for sterilization at the same time. The temperature in the pot rises to 100℃ and then stabilizes for at least 1 hour before increasing the pressure. The reason is that the principle of thermal expansion of air is used to discharge the cold air between the branches in the cultivation bag, making it easier for hot and humid steam to penetrate and sterilize thoroughly.
