In the process of straw mushroom cultivation and management, water management is crucial. The amount of water sprayed, the method of spraying, and the location of spraying all directly affect the yield and quality. The high temperature property of straw mushrooms leads to large temperature differences between different shelves, and the water loss in the culture medium is not the same. Generally, the temperature of the highest layer is high and the water content is the highest, while the temperature of the lowest layer is low and the water content is low. Affected by ventilation and the thickness of the material, the humidity of the culture medium on the outer layer of the shelf is low, and special attention should be paid to the watering process.
Management focus during the fruiting body development stage
During the fruiting stage of fruiting body development, generally from the 6th day after inoculation, the management of temperature, light, water, and air must be achieved.
Material surface temperature: needs to be maintained at 30 ~ 32℃.
Light: During the development of straw mushroom fruiting bodies, a certain intensity of scattered light is required, generally 100 lux is appropriate.
Humidity: includes two aspects: the water content of the culture medium and the relative humidity in the mushroom house. The humidity of the culture medium is required to be maintained at 65%~70%, and the relative humidity of the air is maintained at 85%~90%. The best way to solve the problem of insufficient humidity is to spray water for moisture retention (water temperature is about 30℃). Before the mushroom buds are formed to the size of peanuts, water cannot be sprayed on the mushroom bed, and only space humidification can be done; when the mushroom buds grow to the size of peanuts, water can be sprayed directly on the mushroom bed in the form of mist. After spraying water, open the doors and windows, and close the doors and windows after the material surface is dry.
Ventilation: Straw mushrooms are aerobic fungi. When the mushroom buds are formed, the doors and windows need to be opened 1~2 times a day to introduce fresh air, and the carbon dioxide concentration should be controlled to be kept at 0.15%~0.25%.
